The recently released Telugu films are hardly making any impact at the overseas box office. Last Friday, three medium budget films – Kittu Unnadu Jagratha, Dwaraka and Gunturodu released to a below par response from the US audience. While Gunturodu registered pathetic numbers, the other two films managed to collect mediocre numbers on Friday and Saturday.
Manchu Manoj’s Gunturodu is going to be one of the biggest disasters in recent times. The lackluster action drama has shocked the trade circles by collecting just $ 408 on Friday. There is hardly any improvement in collections on Saturday.
Raj Tarun’s Kittu Unnadu Jagratha has a slight edge over other releases as it managed to collect $ 14 K on Friday. The comedy caper has collected $ 15.6 K on Saturday.
Pelli Choopulu fame Vijay Devarakonda’s Dwaraka, too, opened on a mediocre note in Overseas as the film collected $ 13K on Friday and $ 14.5 K on Saturday.
Rana’s Ghazi has some steam left in overseas. The first war-at-sea film collected $ 8K on Friday and $ 12K on Saturday. Sai Dharam Tej’s latest outing Winner has thoroughly disappointed the trade circles with its poor run.
