Election commission has finally announced schedule for Telangana elections along with the schedule for elections to the four states, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram. Chief Election Commissoner OP Rawat announced details during press meet.
Assembly term expiring dates of the states as below:
- Chattisgarh assembly term expiring on Jan 5, 2019
- Madhya Pradesh assembly term expiring on Jan 7, 2019
- Rajasthan assembly tenure is coming to an end on Jan 20, 2019
- Mizoram assembly term coming to an end on December 15, 2018
- Telangana assembly prematurely dissolved on 6th Sep
Polling dates as below:
All these states are going to polls simultaneously.
- Rajasthan and Telangana : Polling to be held in a single phase in Rajasthan and Telangana on December 7, 2018. Results will be on 11 December
- Chhattisgarh: Elections will be held in two phases in Chhattisgarh – Poll on November 12 and on November 20
- Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram: Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram to vote on November 28, 2018 in a single phase.
Telangana electoral rolls to be published on 12th October and on 11th December, results will be announced.
