With the election code coming into effect, several films got speed breakers. A biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is made and is titled ‘PM Narendra Modi’. The Supreme Court yesterday refused to stay the release of the film and asked the makers to release as per the plan on April 12th. A day after this, the Election Commission of India ordered to stall the film’s release. The EC said that it is the forum to decide about the release of PM Narendra Modi.
The Election Commission issued orders to release the film only after the completion of Lok Sabha polls on May 19th. PM Narendra Modi features Vivek Oberoi in the lead role and the film is directed by Omung Kumar. The film recently completed the censor formalities and got clean U certificate. The makers will announce a new release date of PM Narendra Modi soon.
