Putting an end to the long rivalry drama in the Uttar Pradesh’s first political family Yadav’s, the Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav this evening declared that the party will fight the elections unitedly and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will continue to be the Chief Ministerial face of the party.
In a move signifying a possible end to the prolonged family feud once and for all, he asserted that the party stands united. Clearing all confusions prevailing in the party, he asserted that “Akhilesh will be the next chief minister and there is no doubt about it.” It is for the first time, Mulayam has admitted that his son will be the Chief Minister, if the party returns to power in the state.
For the benefit of the entire country, he said SP stands united and there is no question of any division in the party. He also said that they will begin campaigning soon. Both the sides have taken the fight all the way to the Election Commission’s door for the party symbol.
After both the factions knocked the Election Commission’s door and all indications showing the likelihood of EC freezing the symbol, his announcement gives great relief to the party cadre.
The assembly elections in the most populous and politically significant state in India will be held in seven phases beginning February 11. He also clarified that there is no bickering in the party.
