TDP’s former legislature party leader, who had defected to ruling TRS last year, Errabelli Dayakar rao, today made a sensational `revelation’ accusing that TDP’s firebrand MLA and Telangana state working president A Revantha Reddy is blackmailing his party supremo Chandrababu Naidu.
According to him, Revanth Reddy threatening his party boss Naidu that he would turn as `approver’ in the infamous `vote for notes’ case, in which he had earlier caught red-handed by the ACB and was in jail for some time. Now he is out on bail.
Incidentally, opposition parties are accusing Chandrababu Naidu due to fear of his arrest in this case only the later had shifted his base and also the secretariat hurriedly to Vijayawada, from Hyderabad. The opposition is also alleging that Chandrababu Naidu has been compromising state interests on issues like Special Category Status by agreeing for Special Package, only due to this case.
Though forensic experts confirmed voice of Chandrababu Naidu from the tapes related to telephonic conversations in this case and his name was mentioned several times in the FIR lodged by the ACB, he was not mentioned as an accused, nor was he examined.
Alleging that Revanth Reddy was expert in misleading campaigns and blackmailing politics, he said the TDP leader is making sure of his growth in politics with such tactics only.
Meanwhile, Dayakar rao has strongly refuted speculations of his returning to TDP, as he failed to get ministerial berth even after one year of his defection into the ruling party. He accused that some `vested interests’ have been spreading such baseless rumours aiming at to destroy his political future.
Admitting that recently he had a conversation with TDP’s Telangana unit president L Ramana, he said it was nothing to do with politics. “It is unfair to link friendship with politics”, he said.
