Former Minister for Tribal Welfare Pasupuleti Balaraju left the Janasena Party just a day ahead of Pawan Kalyan’s prestigious Long March protest in Visakhapatnam. Balaraju has been staying away from the party activities since the last general election. He contested unsuccessfully on the Janasena ticket.
The resignation of Balaraju is being as Pawan’s failure to retain the confidence of senior leaders who joined his party from the Congress and TDP. Balaraju was originally a close associate of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. However, he chose to go with Pawan Kalyan at that time considering the cine glamour of Power Star among the tribals. But the election results proved otherwise.
Already, Pawan Kalyan is being given a tough time as the police are imposing restrictions on the protest programme. The Left parties, which were his election allies, refused to take part. Except TDP, no other party came forward to express solidarity to Pawan.
