Former Assembly Speaker and TDP senior leader Kodela Sivaprasada Rao was admitted to hospital after he suffered a heart attack. He spent the whole Friday meeting his followers, local leaders and advocates to discuss the allegations being made by YCP leaders. Kodela is under greater stress for the past few days because of the charges being made against him on the issue of furniture belonging to the AP Assembly.
There were rumours that the Assembly and police officials were coming to visit Kodela office in Guntur. The former Speaker was discussing this issue with his followers at night. Around this time, he collapsed on the floor complaining serious pain in the chest. His family members immediately rushed him to the nearby hospital.
The YCP has chosen Kodeal family for specific attack considering his long standing political career in Guntur district politics. The YCP leaders have provoked common public to file cases lot of cases against Kodel family. The ruling party leaders have also made allegations that Kodela family collected a special K tax in Sattenapalli and Narasaraopet areas. Kodela complained in the past that the police are not giving them protection but advising them to stay away from Narasaraopet area for some time. Kodela deplored that he was ready to hand over Assembly old furniture but the YCP created a big controversy to defame him.
