A while ago, handsome hero Adivi Sesh who is impressing Telugu audiences with his scriptwriting skills these days, has announced that he has three films in the pipeline. It looks good, but one wonders if he is stereotyping himself with the kind of films he is choosing.
Sesh stated that he has Evaru, Major and Goodachari 2 coming off from his stable. Evaru is a thriller as the name says it all and it falls in the genre of his previous hit Kshanam. Goodachari, Goodachari 2 and Major (a biopic of Sandeep Unnikrishnan) all deal with save the country kind of setup. From a birdseye perspective, all these movies are majorly thrillers. That brings us to the question, why Sesh is stereotyping himself into this genre.
The likes of Srihari and Sai Kumar did the same mistake of stereotyping themselves into similar roles and it was later repeated by Varun Sandesh too. These heroes and their films will lose charm after some time because they catering only one section of the audiences. If one has to have a long run, he has to do films in all possible genres.
PS: Had Sesh wrapped 2 States remake with Sivani Rajasekhar without getting into issues with the director, he would have got that intense lover boy image as well.
