Family Star released on April 5th and the film ended up as a debacle. The distributors who paid hefty amounts lost big on the film. The distributors met the film’s producer Dil Raju recently and demanded compensation. Dil Raju promised to compensate for the losses. He also had a meeting with Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram to return back a part of their remunerations to return back to the distributors. Apart from Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vijay Deverakonda will return back a part of his remuneration. The discussion about Parasuram’s share is going on and there is no clarity about it.
Family Star is a huge setback for everyone involved. Even the summer and the Ugadi, Eid holiday season could not save the film. Family Star was badly rejected and the film also failed to report decent openings. Vijay Deverakonda after a small break started shooting for his next film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Parasuram has no project left and his work is badly criticized. Dil Raju is focused on Love Me featuring Ashish and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles. The film will hit the screens in the last week of May.
