Central Minister Sujana Chowdary met with PM Modi just a while ago in New Delhi. This meeting did gain importance given the current tiff situation between the BJP led-Centre and TDP at the state. The meeting went on for nearly 20 minutes.
Post the meeting, Sujana Chowdary spoke to AP CM Chandrababu discussing the outcome of his meeting with Modi. Close sources to the TDP have confirmed that PM Modi responded positively to the proposals of CBN, carried by Sujana Chowdary.
According to sources, answering to Sujana Chowdary’s concerns, Modi briefed saying that, ‘the question of special status is not only limited to Andhra Pradesh. It also involves others states in the country. The Centre is looking AP from a different purview. We are trying to pool in funds from various other resources for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
Moreover, for the completion of Polavaram project, we are allocating the funds through NABARD. Similarly, for the capital construction, the Centre is ready to allocate funds whenever required. There is absolutely no need to be worried.’
It is also heard that Modi reassured Sujana Chowdary regarding the Centre’s commitment towards the development of Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders are desperately trying to reach Modi, seeking his appointment.
