Baahubali franchise has broken all language barriers and achieved pan India appeal after the first part emerged as a box office winner in North India. There were humongous expectations on the sequel and the film took a fantastic start in North India this Friday.
As per the trade estimates, Baahubali 2 has created history as the first day collections zoomed past the 40 Crore mark surpassing various Bollywood biggies like Salman Khan’s PRDP, Sultan and Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Trade pundits opine that this is a stunning feat by the South cinema in Northern territories which is largely dominated by Hindi films.
What is more impressive is that the film is performing beyond expectations in places like Punjab and Delhi where there is no face value for South Indian films. The exact first day figures will be out soon.
The eye pleasing visuals coupled with the riveting drama and flawless narration by SS Rajamouli is doing wonders for the film which is set for a strong run worldwide.
