An undisputed comedy show that quenched the thirst of fun-loving Telugus, Extra Jabardasth, in Ee-TV has produced a crop of actors to the film industry. Away from the film-clip based routine and rotten comedy shows, these youngsters are marking their careers with their sheer innovative ideas and mind-blowing performance. They all are shining stars of the idiot box.
People glue to Ee-TV channel to enjoy EJ though some of the skits go beyond the line of decency while some always bash women with uncouth comments and ugly gestures. In the absence of any other comedy show of this quality, Telugus appreciate EJ and bless the actors like Sreenu, Sudhir, Chandra, Viswa to name a few. Anchors Rashmi Gautam & Anasuya and judges–Nagababu and Roja always add their bit to the programme.
Extra Jabardasth came out with a stunning show to mark its 100th episode on Friday night. It was simply amazing and every actor came up with his/her best to rise to the occasion. A popular hero and Majnu movie lead actor, Nani, joined the high profile judges and seen laughing his heart out throughout the episode. He heaped lavish praise on the budding actors. As Nani observed, these actors are far better than many actors in the film industry.
The hilarious 100th episode was kick started by cute-looking bubbly Rashmi’s thousand volts smile and improvised introduction. She was indeed in her elements. All the actors stormed the stage in their casuals and created ruckus before cutting a cake to mark the occasion. Actress-turned-politician Roja, dressed up in pakka Telugu langaa-voni, danced with the young artists without any inhibition. Nagababu was projected as the “gang leader.”
While Nagababu wished to do at least 300-400 episodes of EJ, Roja said: “It used to be miles per hour but after Extra Jabardasth, it has become smiles per hour.” The first skit performed by Chandra and Vinod (who always dons a beautiful lady role) as usual degraded women and made fun of marriage system much to the joy of Nagababu, a gentleman who always relishes demeaning jokes against the womenfolk.
Next came the highlight of the 100th episode. The trio-Sudhir, Sreenu and Ram Prasad- performed well in a skit waved around news that the trio parted ways following a serious dispute over sharing Rs.100 they stumbled upon a road. They took part in a live show of a TV channel following their separation. What an innovative idea!
On coming to know that the trio are getting separated, stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Barak Obama, Michael Jackson expressed sorrow! Dubbed voices to the clippings of Pawan Kalyan, Nagababu and Roja evoked fun and joy. As Roja described it rightly, it is a brilliant idea and the threesome once again proved their mettle.
Rising Raju team’s skit too made fun of women but one of the handsome faces of the show, Viswa, imitated Ameer Khan in the Hindi blockbuster, PK. Durga Rao too maintained the tempo with his specialized diction.
In all, 100th episode of Extra Jabardasth is a mega hit.
