At a time when the whole country is bleeding after the Centre’s move to ban high-valued currency notes to check black money, tainted minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy is lavishly, in fact fearlessly, performing his daughter’s wedding in Karnataka. Watching the way Gali is performing his daughter’s wedding, it apparently appears that the entire demonetisation strategy seems to be a farce and hypocritical.
On one hand lavish & fat wedding of Gali’s daughter is being performed throwing crores of rupees to celebrities to ensure they attend and shake a leg, on the other hand the common man, traders, petty businessmen are severely affected toiling throughout the day at ATMs and banks for money.
Had Prime Minister Narendra Modi cracked down on these kingpins – Gali, liquor baron Vijay Mallya and other willful defaulters, the people would have trusted him by now and his commitment towards cleaning junk in the country.
People are shocked to know that the wedding saree of Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter costs a whopping bomb of Rs 17 crore which an Aam Admi had never dreamt about. And Rs 90 crore was spent on wedding ornaments (gold). And more perturbing news is that BJP Chief Ministers are attending the wedding ceremony. Now Modi & co. should think as to what message are they sending people if their own party members are attending Gali’s daughter marriage which is extravagantly performed with the money earned through plundering natural resources and backstabbing people.
It is absurd for Modi to tell the middleclass people to endure the pain temporarily when these bigwigs enjoy and reminiscing the way they struggled to pillage every drop of common man’s sweat. Happy wedding !
