Gautamiputra Satakarni Budget for VFX
Nandamuri Balakrishna is shooting for his prestigious 100th film and it was Krish who took the responsibility to direct the movie. Titled as Gautamiputra Satakarni, the movie is said to be a periodic drama and is the life story of the warrior king Gautamiputra Satakarni. With 3-4 war episodes in the film, Gautamiputra Satakarni has enough scope for VFX effects, which will last for 40 minutes on screen. After the release of Baahubali, the audience are quite aware of VFX and the makers have been spending lavishly for the graphics. Gautamiputra Satakarni too is said to have some intense action episodes which need the magical touch of VFX.
The makers are said to have spent Rs 10 crores on the graphics and the movie is said to be made on a budget of Rs 55 crores. Almost 20% of the budget has been allotted for graphics. However without depending completely on the VFX, Krish followed a new technique in which he shot 90% of any episode (that needs VFX) live and he is depending on graphics for the rest 10%. This makes the budget convincing and the film looks grand. Almost 25 companies have been working on the VFX work for Gautamiputra Satakarni. The first copy of the film is expected to be out during the mid of December and the movie will hit the screens during Sankranthi 2017.
