Former Minister and Senior Congress leader from Telangana Geetha Reddy threatened the TRS government to lodge a complaint with National Human Rights Commission for not allowing her to tour in here assembly constituency in Zahirabad.
Hyderabad: Telangana Senior Congress leader and former minister Geetha Reddy has come down heavily on ruling TRS government and its leaders. Threatening to lodge a complain to the National Human Rights Commission, the former minister alleged that the TRS leaders are harassing her by not allowing to move around in Zahiarabad Assembly constituency. This has been brought to the notice of the Medak District Superintendent of Police. But, there was no response from the district police, she added. As the government machinery has failed to come to her rescue to tour in her own constituency where people have elected her reflects the autocratic functioning of the government. It was against this backdrop that she wanted to lodge a complaint in the NHRC, on the functioning of the TRS government, demanding its intervention to protect here rights as a peoples representative, she added.
