Govinda started as an action movie star in the 1980s, then moved to comedy in the mid-1990s. He became one of the biggest box office attractions of that time, known for his acting skills and lively dance performances. However, his success began to decline after 2007, with his last major commercial hit being the film Partner, co-starring Salman Khan. In recent years, Govinda has not appeared in any big-screen projects.
