Andhra Pradesh Government Chief Whip Kalava Srinivasulu said that Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao has no role in the release of video clippings to the media.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Government Chief Whip and Rayadurgam MLA Kalava Sriivasulu took a U-turn on the release of video clippings of YSRCP MLA’s conduct in the house.
Earlier, Kalava claimed that his party has obtained the video clippings from the Speakers office, and confirmed its authenticity. But, in the aftermath of the video clippings creating a flutter, the TDP has taken a U-turn on the issue. The YSRCP had already issued a no-confidence notice on the Speaker. After this whole episode, the YSRCP has stepped up its anti against the speaker and questioned the release of clippings to the media.
Sensing the Speaker’s Office would be dragged into the ongoing controversy, Kalava on Thursday said that the party had obtained the tapes from the speaker’s office. But, the release of video clipping to the media was entirely of their own decision, he added.
