” The TRS has won the by-elections by misusing official machinery during campaign. It offered sops and announced welfare programs violating the poll code. The ruling party leaders resorted the rampant money distribution. Liquor was supplied to lure the voters into voting for TRS. What did the ministers posted as in charges of elections in each Assembly segments do? They resorted to all anti-democratic methods to undermine the free and fair election,” the MP said.
In order to defeat TRS in next general elections, the Congress party has to explore the possibilities of working in close coordination with Left Parties and also with the Telugu Desam Party, he added indicating of a grand alliance was the only solution to contain the menace of TRS
