Happy Birthday Prabhas
Macho, Manly and Masculine are the words that immediately strike the mind when we think of the Tollywood actor Prabhas. He is celebrating his 37 birthday today and here is a brief write up about the Macho star and his journey in Tollywood so far.
Successor of Rebel Star Krishnam Raju
Continuing the on-screen legacy of veteran actor Rebel Star Krishnam Raju, the tall and handsome Prabhas made his silversceen debut with Eeshwar in 2002 and there was no looking back for him since then. Two years later, the grand success of Varsham took Prabhas closer the audience and the 2005 release Chhatrapathi, which became a massive hit at the box office, made him the most sought after actor of Tollywood.
Strong Comeback after a lean phase
Though he had a lean phase for four years after Chhatrapathi, Prabhas made a striking comeback with back to back hits, Darling and Mr. Perfect, in 2010 and 2011. Koratala Siva’s Mirchi emerged as the biggest hit of Prabhas’ career and made him a strong contender for the top league actor slot among the current generation of actors.
Taking a gamble : Dedicated 3 years for Baahubali
It needs a lot of courage for a top star to sign a project for which he should dedicate more than three years. When Prabhas signed SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project Baahubali, many in the industry raised concern about his career. But the gamble has paid off. The first part of Baahubali emerged as the biggest blockbuster in India and also brought huge appreciation for Prabhas and the remaining cast.
Pan-India popularity and huge honour
Prabhas achieved global fame with the stupendous success of Baahubali and his promising act in the epic war drama has achieved him huge popularity in other territories as well. Prabhas bagged numerous accolades for his commendable performances as Shivudu and Amarendra Baahubali.
He also received the biggest and the rarest honour when it was announced that he will be immortalized in the form of a wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds wax museum in Bangkok. He has joined the elite list of Mahatma Gandhi and Narendra Modi who are the only Indians to have a wax figure at the renowned museum.
Tollywood’s most eligible bachelor
Prabhas, the heartthrob for many girls who swoon over his ripped physique and manly appearance, is one of the most eligible bachelors of South Indian filmdom. A lot has been written about his marriage in the last one year. Though the Baahubali star is tight-lipped, his uncle Krishnam Raju hinted that Prabhas will enter into wedlock after the completion of Baahubali 2. We have to wait and see if Wedding Bells for Prabhas ring in 2017.
Future Projects on a grand scale
Prabhas will be working with two directors in tandem after the completion of Baahubali 2. It is believed that UV Creations, which has a close rapport with Prabhas, is sketching massive plans for his next two projects. As reported earlier, Prabhas will be working with young directors Sujith and Radha Krishna. It is learnt that both these projects will be made on a lavish scale. The regular shooting for these films will commence in the first half of 2017.
Telugu360 wishes Prabhas a Happy Birthday and wishes him best of luck for his upcoming projects.
