Talented filmmaker Harish Shankar was left untraced after the release of DJ. After a long break, he is busy with his next film Valmiki which is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Jigarthanda. Varun Tej is the lead actor and the film releases on September 20th. As per the latest news, Harish Shankar is in talks to direct the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Andhadhun.
Young actor Nithiin acquired the remake rights of the film for a hefty price of Rs 3.9 crores. His home banner Sreshth Movies along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures will produce this remake and the film shoots next year. The makers approached Harish Shankar to direct the remake. The talks are in final stages and an official announcement about the project would be made soon. Nithiin is busy with the shoot of Bheeshma which will release this December. He will then start shooting for Rang De which is announced for summer release.
