Telangana High Court rejected the IAS officers plea of allowing them to continue in their present postings by stalling their relieval. Stressing that IAS officers need to toe the line of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) in the matter of cadre allocation, HC refused to interfere in the matter.
Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili stressed that Centre will decide about IAS officers cadre allocation and all officers should obey Centre’s orders. Though IAS officers requested to stay their relieval till November 4, on which date there is a hearing on the matter in Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), HC directed officials to first report in their alloted states and later pursue their case.
With HC’s latest judgement, it appears the long fight of IAS officers, has come to an end.
With this development, IAS officers Ronald Ross, Vani Prasad, Amrapali Kata and Vakati Karuna, who are serving in Telangana have to report in Andhra Pradesh.
IAS officers G Srijana, C Harikiran and L Shiv Shankar serving in AP cadre have to report in Telangana.
