Bollywood is yet to score a clean blockbuster this year. Several big-budget films fell flat at the box-office. Films like Maidaan received critical acclaim but the audience showed no interest in watching the film in theatres. Several Bollywood filmmakers are holding talks with Tollywood actors and filmmakers for their upcoming films. There are no takers for Akshay Kumar’s films but the theatrical rights of films like Pushpa: The Rule, Kalki 2898 AD, Game Changer and Devara are bought for record prices. Telugu directors are in huge demand and several top producers are in talks for their upcoming projects. Top actors like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan tasted their biggest debacles in their career in the recent times.
With Hindi films falling short of expectations, several top Bollywood producers are looking for South films. Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, NTR and Prabhas are in touch with some of the directors and producers of Hindi. NTR is doing a straight Hindi film War 2 and Allu Arjun, Ram Charan will soon sign Hindi films. But Bollywood did not stop producing films with top Hindi stars. The filmmakers are in plans to make more films with Telugu and South stars in the coming days which did not happen in the past.
