Telangana State Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that a consultant will be appointed soon for designing the Hyderabad-Amaravati Expressway as per the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh reorganisation act.
Following a review meeting with NHAI on various items mentioned in the reorganisation act on Monday, the minister noted that tenders have been issued for the appointment of consultants to design Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Hyderabad-Amaravati Expressway
The center is yet to give permission for the Hyderabad-Nagpur and Hyderabad-Bangalore cities expressway as mentioned in the reorganization act.
Tummala previously held discussions with the central minister to acquire the land per the section 21 of the land acquisition act2017. A total of 1,881 hectares of land will be acquired.
