Ever felt like flying in a Helicopter that the Chief Ministers use for travelling. Here is an opportunity from Telangana Tourism Department which is conducting a helicopter ride to give a whirl-wind tour of the twin cities. This Sankranti the unique program is being conducted from January 12 to 17.
In the ‘Hyderabad Joy Ride’ fest as it is being called, the people of the twin cities are enjoying the glimpse of landmark tourist spots in the city from over 1500 feet with a ten-minute joy ride.
The coordinator Govind Nayak tells Telugu360 – “We have done 16 rides yesterday and flew around 170 people. Everything is going on seamlessly and today so far we have done 13 rides and are expecting to cross 170 mark.”
The chopper is well maintained and Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu flew in it earlier. The copter which is flown through Necklace Road and gives an aerial view of Tank Bund, Budda Statue, Charminar, LB stadium, City college, High Court and Birla Mandir.
The reservations can be done online and spot reservation facility is available. The coordinator also said, “It costs 3500 INR for an individual and there are discounts for people who come in groups. We are doing both cash and card transactions. We have PAYTM facility as well”
This is not a guided tour and people can avail this facility to gift it to their loved ones to remember for life time. Messrs Thumbay Aviation Private Limited is organizing the joy ride from Necklace road.
