Oldest female
A 119year-old women from Hyderabad as emerged as the oldest living person (female) living in the world. With over 50 members in her immediate family T Narasamma, born in 1898, from a family in Vanasthalipuram area, has received this award today from the High Range Book of World Records (HRBWR). She has replaced Emma Martina Luigia Morano of Italy, presently 118 years old.
The oldest person in recorded history was Jeanne Calment of France aged 122 years who died in 1997. According to N Pentamma’s 75-year-old daughter, her mother was identified after verifying her Aadhar details, as the oldest living person (female). “She has seen generations of our family and is still a very healthy woman who eats a lot,” she added.
Pentamma said that she was the fourth child to her and three of the children elder to her were died. In their family there are a total number of 50 members as of now. She said that all of their family members are happy and proud that the 119-year-old great grand mother has won the award.
Yarra Nagaiah, father of film actor Giri Babu, was awarded the HRBWR in 2016 for the oldest person living (male). He was born in the year 1910 and is 106 years old. The HRBWR was established in 2014 and according to their website—www.highrangeworldrecords.com—its India headoffice is situated in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
