Professor Kancha Ilaiah Sheperd who is surrounded by controversies for the book “Samajika Smugglerlu Komatollu”, said that he wrote the book for social equality. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said anyone having objections with the book can deliberate with him.
“Paripoornanda Swamy deals with local affairs while, I deal with national affairs”, said the professor. Ilaiah clarified that he has never insulted any woman and doesn’t want to talk about the Godmen.
He noted that the book was written on behalf of the Andhra Dalits and other victims who were insulted by politicians during the Telangana movement.
The SC/ST Faculty Forum of university of Hyderabad condemned the violent threats against the professor.
