Hit-maker Shankar reunited with Superstar Rajinikanth for the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster science fiction thriller Robot. The film, titled as Robot 2.0, is billed as most expensive Indian film till date with a budget of nearly 400 Crores being spent on its making. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is playing the chief antagonist in this film which stars British model Amy Jackson as the female lead.
After working non-stop for nearly one year, the team called it a wrap barring one bit song and some patch work. The left over portion will be completed after a small break for the whole team. The post production activities are going on simultaneously to get the film ready for release in the second half of 2017. Many Hollywood technicians are working for this much awaited film.
Sources say that Robot 2.0 will be a visual feast for audience with eye popping VFX effects and stunning visuals. Oscar winner AR Rahman is the film’s composer. Lyca International banner is the production unit behind this extravagant project.
