Well known defense scientist and scientific advisor to union defense minister G. Satheesh Reddy, has joinws the club of VVIP, who came forward to the adopt the their villages as per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr Reddy adopted his native place Mahimaluru, a panchayat in Atmakur mandal, Nellore District on Sunday. Reddy, before being elevated as the scientific advisor to the defense minister, director, Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad.
He said, in a function organized on this occasion, he would do everything possible for the over all development of the village and welfare of the people by using his good offices at the national level. He said he had been actively involved in the efforts for the national development, indigenous technologies and ‘Make in India’ concept. Emphasizing that improving the basic needs of the villages would go a long way in the development of rural India, Reddy said the village adoption concept would help achieve that goal.
Welcoming the gesture , medical and health minister Kamineni Srinivasa Rao said more and more dignitaries were coming forward to be a part of the developmental efforts in their respective villages.
