Comedy King Allari Naresh completed 50 films in a short span of time and he is well known for his comic timing and spoof comedy. However his recent outings failed to impress the audience but he has been busy with back to back films. His latest film Selfie Raja is gearing up for release this Friday. Here are some of the excerpts of his special interview with Telugu 360:
Hi Naresh:
Hi
Seems like you to got addicted to Selfie culture?
Frankly speaking I do not like selfies. However for Selfie Raja I have been a part of over 3000 selfies. We have conducted a special selfie contest as a part of promoting our movie Selfie Raja.
What was the best selfie of yours till date?
I never love selfies as I told you before and it happened only for films.
But people love to take selfies with you? What do you say?
I am fortunate enough for this. But sometimes people forget common sense and they ask for selfies which is unfortunate. I have been asked for a selfie in a toilet of a multiplex which left me surprised (laughs).
Tell us about Selfie Raja?
Selfie Raja is a laugh riot and I am sure no one will be disappointed with the film. The audience will be left laughing for the entire 2.5 hours. The trailer is just a sample and I have corrected all the mistakes in the film.
‘Cheppanu Brother’s dialogue from the trailer surprised everyone. Is this a counter for Bunny’s fans?
It is not like that and the dialogue is a part of the film. One will know about the importance of the dialogue after watching the film. Bunny is a close friend of mine and I never do things that depress him. Even if Bunny watches the episode from the film, he will burst out with laughter.
How did you manage a selfie with Vijay Mallya?
I never met Vijay Mallya and it happened through graphics and we used it for our film’s promotions as he was trending all over. He has nothing to do with our film. Even police are unaware of Vijay Mallya and how can I manage to get a selfie with him.
Trailer hints that you have been showcased in different getups in Selfie Raja?
Hero is fond of selfies which lands him into troubles. The rest of the film is about how I come out of all the problems. To defend myself, I will be seen in various getups and every getup has its own importance and will be fun on screen. All the characters have been written and indulged well in the film.
You have been suffering with a series of debacles after Sudigadu. What do you say?
Yes, you are right. I am waiting for success from a long time and I am responsible for all the failures of my movies. I have been selecting good scripts but something went wrong always. LadduBabu was an experiment and people rejected it straightaway. I was happy for my hard work and performance. I learned lot of things from my failures and I accept all of them. I am not depressed about them.
When are you turning a director Naresh?
I have been penning a script currently and it will be with a well-established actor. It will take couple of years to direct the script as I am engaged with number of films currently. If I play the lead role in my direction, all the scenes will be edited and changed as I love myself.
Can you reveal about the genre of your directorial film?
I love to direct realistic film like 7/G Brundavan Colony and I love such films. I will announce the details soon.
Any film on your home banner?
I have been in plans for a film with my brother in my home banner EVV Cinema. It will happen soon and is in discussion stages.
All the Best Naresh for Selfie Raja
Thank you very much (smiles)..
