Today Andhra Pradesh government signed MoU with many companies to promote tourism in the state at a cost of Rs 1240 crore. In all 8 MoUs have been signed in chief minister’s presence in Vijayawada camp office.The cities of Vijayawada, Tirupati and Vizag will have amusement parks, water worlds. To set up these tourism projects at a cost of Rs 800 crore,LEPL Ventures and Pan India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd entered into agreement with state tourism department. Similarly, an MoU with Air Costa has been signed for destination package tours. An agreement with VSN Estates Private Limited has signed to set up three and five star hotels at Patamata, Vijayawada with an investment of Rs 300 crore has been signed. The other MoUs envisage setting up of way side ameneties in Kadapa and star hotels in Tiruchanur. According to tourism secretary Nirab Kumar, state has mobilized about Rs 4,500 worth project in tourism sector in the past 15 months.
