The meeting between Movie Artists Association (MAA) and Minister for Cinematography (Telangana Government), Srinivas Yadav has been concluded. The TS Government has taken the initiative to resolve the various problems faced by the movie artists in the Telugu Film Industry. Big Wigs from Tollywood and other senior government officials took part in the meeting with Srinivas Yadav.
Key decisions have been announced. Talking to the press after the meeting, Srinivas Yadav said, ‘from here on, the artists will be issued special identity cards through MAA.
Distinguished personalities from the film fraternity promised that the no coordinator-culture in the industry will be abolished. At the same time, necessary steps will be taken to deposit the remuneration amount to the artists via their managers directly into their bank accounts.
I request both the film industry and the media to stop end this row here. If the artists and women are facing any problems, I am requesting them to approach the police directly’.
Many see this meeting as a mere eyewash, without any possible conclusion. Future developments in the coming two days will stand as a litmus test to Minister Srinivas Yadav’s comments.
