YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s biopic Yatra is said to focus on the massive footmarch that was initiated by YSR before he got to power in 2004 in united Andhra Pradesh. The teaser revealed the same but the debates going on across Tollywood circles hints of many different things about the film. Rajasekhar Reddy’s father Raja Reddy passed away in 1998 but his role has enough prominence in the film.
Jagapathi Babu is reprising Raja Reddy’s role in the film. Though the makers announced that Yatra is focused only on YSR’s padayatra, there are talks thaat the director and his team took the cinematic liberty and induced some interesting episodes, moments that happened in YSR’s life. There are talks that the film is a fiction than a biopic. If the film is really a biopic, why are the roles of Chandrababu and Jagan missing?
Directed by Mahi V Raghav, Yatra is releasing on February 8th and Mammootty played the lead role as YSR in this prestigious film.
