TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to mainly target TDP president Chandrababu Naidu till the end of Telangana’s next month polls. The main plank of TRS for election is self-rule without any interference from outside forces like TDP in Mahakutami alliance.
All TRS leaders have begun launching greater attack on Chandrababu Naidu more than the immediate opposition leaders of the Congress. As the electioneering is reaching a peak, KCR has decided to continue his strategy to attack TDP more than Congress.
TRS has got feedback that its strategy on inciting sentiment has yielded better results than their highlighting of government performance or its new schemes like crop loan waiver. As a result, KCR has almost made the election look a do or die battle between TRS and TDP. KCR’s effort is to create a 2014-like political atmosphere thereby retaining power for a second consecutive term. TRS dominated 2014 election by silently claiming credit for Telangana state formation. Congress could not take advantage despite having fulfilled Telangana dream.
