Telangana government on Tuesday has given clearance to fill another 1069 vacancies of various categories through direct recruitment by Telangana state public service commission (TSPCC). The jobs include 1000 agriculture extension officers grade-II and the rest are from ground water department.
While Andhra Pradesh is still dithering to notify the jobs despite widespread resentment among the students and youth, it’s almost raining jobs in neighboring state of Telangana. Exactly five days back, the Telangana State public service commission issued notification for 790 posts which include 439 posts in Group-II category executive posts. Nobody knows exactly when the last recruitment for these posts took place. The APPSC of combined state was never allowed to follow its calendar because of politicization of the body and legal disputes. Every attempt of recruitment ended up in court cases disappointing the students and youth of the state. After the bifurcation, Telangana government has appointed a new commission and gave clearance to fill vacancies in the government, of course, buckling under pressure from the students, who are militant than their counterpart in Andhra Pradesh.
The process began last year when government had notified 3783 vacancies in the rank of Assistant engineer. TSPSC released notification to fill 770 engineering posts in five departments through online examination in last August. This earned the TSPSC a distinction of having conducted online test for jobs for the first time in the country.
