The Andhra and Telangana political circles are stunned at the way AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy reversed his mysterious stand on Amaravati Capital City fate. In his latest meeting with PM Modi in Delhi, Jagan mentioned for the first time the need for Central funds to develop the Capital City. As on today, no work is taking place in the multi-crore Amaravati project. Over Rs. 30,000 Cr worth works on Amaravati were stopped by Jagan. In his earlier visit to Delhi, Jagan told Modi that he would not require any further funds for Amaravati project as he has other plans on this.
Analysts are asking whether Jagan has reversed his stand on Capital City. Is he going to revive and develop Amaravati? Or, has AP CM come out with any other plans for developing an alternative capital near Mangalagiri or Donakonda? As per reports, Jagan had no positive response from Narendra Modi on any Andhra project now.
Usually, after Jagan’s meet with PM and Union Ministers, YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy and other MPs would come before the media and make tall claims. They would say PM had approved this and that. But now that euphoria is clearly missing altogether. Jagan also wound up his Delhi tour in just a half day and returned to Vijayawada.
