Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy and his pet group the Crime Investigation Department (CID) have stooped so low that the donations given by the public to the TDP are being presented as corrupt money, observed TDP politburo member, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Friday.
The CID which has been investigating the Skill Development Corporation case for the past four years could not finalise anything but is now trying to find some loopholes in the funds the TDP received through donations, Bonda Uma told media persons at the party headquarters here. Pointing out that the CID has sent notices to the TDP office to submit the details on the donations received, Bonda Uma asked whether the investigation wing is dare enough to serve the same notices on the YSRCP.
Can the CID investigate how Jagan has become the richest Chief Minister in the country and present the facts before the people, the TDP politburo member asked. The media house owned by Jagan has been publishing all fabricated reports wrongly portraying the leaders of Opposition parties to make the people believe the illusory truth while the CID has turned out to be an organisation to help Jagan in his political vendetta, he remarked.
The CID, in its notices served on the TDP office, has sought the details which are in no way concerned with the agency and it should never ask for, Bonda Uma said. The TDP has been submitting all the relevant details to the Election Commission periodically and though all such details are available on public platforms, some organisations owned by him are trying to sling mud at the party, Bonda Uma observed.
Though it is four years and eight months since Jagan has become the Chief Minister, either he or hispet organisation, the CID, are still not in a position to realise the facts except resorting to mud-slinging, he remarked. Immediately after coming to power Jagan, enticed some senior officers at a meeting with rewards if they somehow try to send former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, to jail, the TDP politburo member noted.
“But in four years Jagan could not prove even a single charge against Chandrababu. Since he was in jail for several months he somehow sent Chandrababu also to jail by foisting false cases only to get some vicious pleasure,” Bonda Uma maintained. Finally, with the facts coming to light that Chandrababu did not commit any mistake in the case, now the ruling dispensation is resorting to project the public donations as corrupt money, he said.
Bonda Uma made it clear that the TDP never stoops so low to win the polls like Jagan who looted lakhs of crores of public money and transferred these money through hawala to foreign countries only to get it back at the time of elections. Can Jagan tell the people how he got thousands of crores in the shape of donations, he asked.
Assistant Advocate General, Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, also has made wrong presentations before the courts that the TDP got Rs 27 cr as the party has already presented before the public through what sources these Rs 27 cr was received by the party, Bonda Uma said.
The Election Commission also should focus on how Jagan has become the richest Chief Minister in the country, Bonda Uma said and made it clear that the TDP never cares for false propaganda and fake reports. The TDP periodically submits its details to the poll panel and the Income Tax Department, he clarified.
