Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, deliberately destroyed the dairy farm industry in Andhra Pradesh only to promote the Amul Dairy, said the TDP spokesperson, Kommareddy Pattabhiram, here on Thursday.
Calling Jagan as a psycho star, Pattabhiram told media persons at the party headquarters here that the Chief Minister is quite frequently changing his face only to loot the people and their properties. Now he turned into an Amul Baby and is chanting Amul only to hand over the properties of the AP Dairy Development Corporation and the other cooperative dairies, Pattabhiram added.
While entering into an agreement with the Amul company, Jagan made the people believe that lakhs of dairy farmers in the State will benefit from this pact, Pattabhi said. But now the Chief Minister is driving the dairy farmers to turn slaves to Amul company, he said.
“Where is the right to Jagan, who is losing power in a matter of another one year and is going to jail, to lease out the Chittoor Dairy for 99 years to the Amul company,” Pattabhiram asked. How the annual lease amount can be Rs 1 cr each for 99 years when the value of the rupee falls even after a year, he said.
The Chittor Dairy spread over 33 acres and the land cost itself is about Rs 500 cr, he said while the dairy has several chilling centres too. The total cost of the Chittor Dairy is over Rs 650 cr and how Jagan Reddy can lease out the company for just Rs 1 cr annually, he asked.
Jagan who, before elections, promised the dairy farmers Rs 4 bonus for every litre of milk, is now keeping silent, Pattabhi said adding that even costly lands in every town in the State are being handed over to Amul company to set up its retail outlets. How can the Chief Minister hand over such expensive lands to the company as it is not his personal property, he said.
