AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy reviewed medical and health department activities at his Camp Office at Tadepalli. He instructed the officials to immediately hike the salary of Asha health workers from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month. This is an election promise made by Jagan to these women health workers in field level.
Jaganmohan Reddy asked the officials to send him photographs of all the health centres and government hospitals. He wanted all facilities to be provided to make sure that the government health facilities would render best services on a par with private hospitals in the state.
The Chief Minister said that he would not tolerate any corruption in the medical and health department. He ordered a committee by experts to give a report in 45 days on measures to be taken for revamping of health facilities. YSR inspiration should be taken in providing best health services. Jagan said that there should be no incidents like babies bitten death by rats in government hospitals. He said he would personally supervise health services.
