It is known news that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jagan has recently proposed that 75% of jobs be given to local people in any industry in Andhra Pradesh. While the topic is still being debated, Jagan took a decision that is completely in contrary with his own proposal. Jagan is going to appoint Ramachandra Murthy, Sakshi editorial board director, as chairman of Press Academy. It is known thing that Ramachandra Murthy is from Telangana and and supporter of Telangana movement.
Jagan appointing, Vijaya Kumar as Information Commissioner (Nallagonda), Krishna Mohan (Khammam) as Communications Advisor and Devulapalli Amar (Warangal) as National Media Advisor has already triggered a debate among people – whether AP government could not find any suitable persons in Andhra Pradesh for this positions. While this debate is still ongoing, the news about Jagan planning to appoint Ramachandra Murthy, another Telangana man, as press academy chairman triggered a fresh row.
It seems that most of the people who got appointments in Jagan government are either from one community or earlier worked with Sakshi. Anyway, Jagan giving the post to another Sakshi employee, who is from Telangana has definitely became a topic of discussion.
