The burning question in political circles is why more and more leaders are leaving the YSR Congress Party ahead of the general election. No other party is facing such a high level of resentment and displeasure. TDP chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu says it is because no leader is happy under Jaganmohan Reddy’s leadership. Naidu says it is very difficult to work in YCP as Jagan is an anti-leader and a massive ego monster.
Naidu brought up the issue in the wake of recent exodus of leaders from YCP especially prominent Kapu leader Vangaveeti Radha. The timing of CM’s comment is striking as it is the talk of the state right now. Unavoidably, Jagan’s ego issues came to the surface once again and they triggered widespread discussions among political parties. It is because of these ego problems only that Jagan’s media advisor Prashant Kishore could not even begin the process of brokering a deal between YCP and Jana Sena party of Pawan Kalyan.
Naidu is slowly highlighting this ego aspect of his opponent so as to make it a more negative point for Jagan in the coming crucial weeks before election. CBN says Jagan has no progressive leadership ideas necessary to give a right direction to the people. It is because of the shortage of such qualities like patience, accommodative spirit and positive leadership that brought defeat to Jagan in 2014.
