BJP senior leader and Union Minister for Youth Affairs, Anurag Thakur said that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao were competing with each other to reach top position in corruption in the country. He said right now, Jagan Mohan Reddy was in fourth place while KCR was in second place in corruption.
The Union Minister addressed a meeting of the BJYM, the youth wing of the BJP in Vijayawada on Sunday, where he attacked the chief ministers of the two Telugu States. He said that both the chief ministers have failed to live up to the expectations of the youth. The two chief ministers have not created employment opportunities and were forcing the youth to join the mafia.
Anurag Thakur said that both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states were ruled by the sand, land, liquor mafias. As there are no jobs, the youth were getting attracted to these mafias, the Union Minister said.
The Union Minister referred to the liquor racket found in the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, and said that the mafia has links with Andhra Pradesh. He advised Jagan Mohan Reddy to focus on providing new jobs for the youth. He also told the AP chief minister to stop smuggling of ganja from the state.
Anurag Thakur said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was more interested in JST (Jagan Service Tax) rather than the GST. He asked the people to reject Jagan Mohan Reddy and rally behind the BJP for corruption-free government and wealth creation.
The Union Minister also found fault with Jagan Mohan Reddy for planning three capitals. “There is no money to build a single capital. How can this government build three capitals?” the Union Minister asked.
