YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy has made headlines with a letter to his sister Sharmila, offering to restore familial bonds if she changes her thinking and behavior. This development comes after Jagan approached the courts regarding disputes with his own mother and sister.
A letter dated August 27 has surfaced, revealing that Jagan plans to revoke previously gifted properties due to Sharmila’s political opposition. He expressed that his affection for his sister has diminished due to actions that damaged his personal reputation. However, he offered to restore these relationships under certain conditions.
In the letter, which was attached to a petition filed with the NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal), Jagan explained that their father YS Rajasekhara Reddy had divided the ancestral properties equally between them during his lifetime. He clarified that his subsequent business ventures were built through his own efforts and investment, separate from the inherited assets.
Jagan disclosed that he had gifted some shares to Sharmila in Saraswati Power Company and also transferred some shares to their mother Vijayamma as a gesture of trust and affection. He revealed that over the past decade, he had provided 200 crores to Sharmila directly and through their mother. However, he expressed disappointment over Sharmila’s lack of gratitude and her actions against him.
The letter outlined conditions are Sharmila must demonstrate positive changes in her thinking and behavior .She must refrain from speaking against him, YS Avinash Reddy, and YS Bharathi. She must cease political opposition to him
Jagan stated that after all court cases are resolved, he would reconsider decisions about the assets – what should be done, what shouldn’t be done, and how much should be allocated. Reports suggest that Jagan has written another letter to Sharmila specifically requesting her to stop political opposition against him.
