YSRCP chief and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has recently decided to sell off government lands in the state to raise funds for implementing his ‘Navaratnalu schemes’.
By doing so, Jagan is not only playing with ‘present’ of AP but also the ‘future’ of AP.
If Jagan sells government assets to create more assets in the state, nobody will not have any objection.
But he wants to sell government assets, which actually belong to the people of AP, to fund his Navaratnalu schemes, which fetched him votes in recent Assembly polls and helped him to become CM at a younger age.
Everyone knows that Navaratnalu are nothing but schemes to distribute ‘free money’ to people and get votes for YSRCP in return. This ‘unproductive spending’ also makes people lazy.
Navaratnalu will not create any assets for AP or for future generations in AP.
The hard earned taxpayers money will be evaporated with these kind of schemes.
Now the money raised through sale of government lands will also evaporate within no time as it will be distributed for people and YSRCP supporters.
The government lands will also vanish along with money.
What AP government will have to meet future needs?
Today Jagan may be CM and tomorrow another will come. Jagan is not permanent but AP state and AP people will be permanent.
Jagan has nothing to lose if AP’s lands are sold out. But AP state and AP people will suffer with no assets for AP in the long run.
Then the subsequent governments will be forced to acquire lands of AP people to meet future needs.
With his ‘reverse decision’, Jagan is harming the ‘present’ of AP and with his decision to sell off government lands, he is putting even AP’s ‘future’ at risk.
