The indefinite hunger strike launched here by YSR Congress President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy demanding the implementation special status assurance given to Andhra Pradesh has entered the third day on Friday. But, the fast started impacting the his health. He look tired, though he was busy with interacting with visitor and supporters.
Party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other people’s representatives of the Opposition party are camping at the fast camp set up in the Nallapadu Road in Guntur.
Government doctors are monitoring Jagan’s health condition constantly. Today, he has shown signs of weakness. Doctors confirmed that the fasting leader was weak, though his BP, Pulse and Sugar level were normal. They cautioned that his condition may deteriorate if fast is continued decussating some special tests. Jagan, however, is not ready to relent on his fast. He said he would to continue the fast till the Centre granted special status to Andhra Pradesh. He asked the Chief Minister to exert pressure on the Centre to fulfill the demand and withdraw his party’s support to the Modi Government if no positive announcement is made in this regard. Thousands of people reached the venue to express their support to Jagan.
