Prior to the general election and after, CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has got good relations with the priestly and Brahmin organisations. He made huge promises to support and provide Rs 100 Cr to the AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation. But not a single rupee has been sanctioned and released so far. After the recent developments, the priestly associations have even lost hopes on getting any support from the YCP Regime. All important outsourcing staff drawing more than Rs 40,000 monthly salary were removed from Brahmin Corporation office as per the government orders. Now, nobody is there to accept applications and release financial assistance. Thousands of poor brahmins are no longer getting their assistance.
The immediate reason is obviously Jagan Reddy’s total unhappiness against Ex Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao. It was IYR who developed and made appointments for Brahmin Corporation. Though he left the corporation due to differences with Naidu, the TDP Circar didn’t harm the lower level employees. But now, Jagan is badly upset about IYR, GVL Narasimha Rao and LV Subrahmanyam. CM began totally ignoring Brahmin Corporation afterwards.
