Expressing serious concern that former chief minister and TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has been detained in the jail for the past 50 days, party general secretary, Lokesh, said on Saturday that the people have witnessed political vendetta earlier but now the leaders are resorting to taking personal revenge against their rivals.
“We have earlier experienced leaders taking political vendetta but now we are witnessing someone resorting to take personal revenge,” Nara Lokesh said while talking to media persons here after meeting Chandrababu through mulaqat. Expressing concern that Chandrababu has been detained in the jail 50 days ago, Lokesh said that he is being prevented from going to the people by managing the systems.
People are observing that besides Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, his Cabinet Ministers, MPs and MLAs have been threatening to finish Chandrababu out of sheer personal vengeance, Lokesh observed. “We have all noticed the statement made by the YSRCP MP in Anantapur that Chandrababu will die inside the jail. Also, a woman minister is threatening to send my mother to jail, who has no connection whatsoever with the case,” Lokesh pointed out.
After going by the statements made by these leaders the TDP has doubts over the security of Chandrababu, he said and asked whether the Government could produce even single evidence in the past 50 days on the involvement of Chandrababu in the case. What else can this be called except managing the systems, he questioned.
Daring the State Government to come out with any kind of evidence in the Skill Development project, in the Inner Ring Road or Fiber Grid cases, Lokesh said that they are ready to answer any kind of questions and give clarifications on any issues. “Since the beginning we have been saying that Chandrababu did not make any kind of mistakes and we have brought before the public all the details of our bank accounts. What did you do for the past 50 days,” Lokesh asked.
How the medical reports of the doctors are changing overnight, he asked and pointed out that one report says that surgery must be conducted to Chandrababu’s eye within a month and the same ophthalmologist in another report says that there is no hurry. Within 24 hours how the ophthalmologist could change his mind, he asked.
“We have our own doubts on the security of Chandrababu as we have no faith in this Government. Chandrababu is the lone leader in the South who is under NSG security and drones are moving on the jail besides ganja is being supplied inside,” Lokesh pointed out.
If they are not at fault, why are they not releasing the call data as demanded by the TDP, he asked. Lokesh said that Chandrababu has some cardiac issues, and his weight has come down by seven kg. “Jail officials do not appear to be plain as they have received at least 10 calls when we are on mulaqat,” he stated.
