After YS Jaganmohan Reddy became CM of Andhra Pradesh in May this year, the only news one hears about Andhra Pradesh is companies scrapping their projects and moving out of AP due to ‘reverse decisions’ taken by Jagan.
However, Jagan’s government claimed two days ago that it has brought a big bus manufacturing plant to Andhra Pradesh.
The government publicized this project heavily as its big industrial achievement.
Industries minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy held press conferences to announce this project.
Goutham Reddy claimed that due to efforts of CM Jagan and YSRCP government, the Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd has offered to set up a big bus manufacturing plant in Anantapur district at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore spread over 120 acres.
This statement evoked laughter not only in political circles but also in industrial circles.
Because, this company signed MoU with the TDP government to set up bus plant in 2017 when Chandrababu Naidu was CM.
Naidu has then allotted required land, offered all other subsidies.
However, the company failed to pay the amount to the government to take possession of the land.
With this, the project could not take shape then.
Now the same company has come forward to pay the amount and take possession of the land.
The YSRCP government is not trying to take ‘false credit’ for this project that actually came to AP because of Naidu’s efforts.
