Jagan padayatra started in the month of November 2017, has recently entered into Godavari districts. Recently there have been discussions on how Jagan’s yatra is received by people. In an interview given to a social media channel, Janasena spokes person Addepalli Sridhar analyzed that Jagan’s padayatra became flop in East Godavari districts.
Until Godavari districts, Jagan’s yatra received good response but it is in these districts Jagan started getting embarrassment. First, it is Kapu youth asked Jagan to spell his stand on Kapu reservations and they showed placards. But Jagan moved on without responding to them. Later, Jagan fan belonging to Kapu community followed Jagan and asked him to give some sort of assurance on Kapu reservation, but he didn’t respond and moreoever, Jagan’s security team handled the fan ‘physically’. Another topic that gave headache to Jagan in Godavari district is- Jakkampudi family, that has been with Jagan since early days of his party, felt ignored by him during yatra.
Then Jagan entered East Godavari and there were huge crowds gathered at bridge of Rajahmundry. But after the day on bridge, suddenly there was huge drop in number of people attending his yatra and later also people are not turning up in big numbers for his yatra. This is now highlighted by Janasena spokes person Addepalli Sridhar in his interview. Addepalli Sridhar also found fault with Jagan’s way of addressing the issue. Sridhar opined, Jagan is just meeting people and saying he will solve the issues once he becomes CM. On the other hand, Janasena chief is making sure, the problems he is getting to know are properly addressed and he is making sure, even after he leaves that constituency, some of his team members are still working there and finding at least some ‘work arounds’ if not solutions to the problems.
We’ll have to wait and see how Jagan’s yatra will be received in North Andhra where Pawan received tremendous response.
