Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has become famous for his ‘reverse decisions’ within six months of coming to power.
He ‘reversed’ all the decisions taken by previous TDP government without citing any valid reasons.
He reversed Amaravati and Polavaram works.
He introduced a new concept called ‘reverse tenders’ to take up works in Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan stipulated few guidelines to decide on what basis the government should call for ‘reverse tenders’.
He ruled that those projects who works have been completed less than 25 per cent til the cut off date of April 1, 2019, should go for ‘reverse tenders’.
But strangely, Jagan has now ‘reversed’ his own reverse tender norms.
He reportedly asked officials to go for ‘reverse tenders’ for construction of housing complexes for minister, judges and secretary-level IAS officers in Amaravati.
The previous TDP government launched this project. These works have already been completed by 35 per cent against Jagan’s norm of less than 25 per cent to go for reverse tenders.
Despite this, Jagan reportedly asked officials to cancel these tenders and go for reverse tenders again.
This move seems to be delaying the works further in the name of reverse tenders in Amaravati.
