Tollywood producers are in no mood to bow down to the new payout structure in overseas due to the AMC – Carmik merger which will impact the revenues earned by the buyers and distributors. Telugu360 already reported that the producers of Spyder are looking for a 25 crore deal in overseas.
Now, the makers of NTR’s forthcoming film Jai Lava Kusa are quoting a ridiculous price for the overseas rights. According to the latest reports, the producer is looking to trade the film for 14 Crores in overseas market. While the deal is yet to be closed, trade experts are terming it as a sky-high price because the film should gross close to $ 3 M in US alone which is very steep task with the latest revenue structure.
It is well known that NTR’s biggest blockbuster Janatha Garage failed to cross the $ 2M mark in overseas. Nannaku Prematho, which is NTR’s career highest grosser in overseas collected $ 2.2 M. So, trade analysts opine that it is an exorbitant price with director Bobby, who is coming from a huge flop, is at the helm for this film.
